SUMMARY
The history happens in North America. It begins when the General Webb receives a letter (he is in Fort Edward) proceeding from General Munro (he is in Fort William Henry). He asks for reinforcements to be able to fight against the French General, Montcalm.
Webb sends part of his army. Simultaneously, they go out of Fort Edward,
Cora and Alicia accompanied of the Major Duncan Heyward, they go to house of
the General Monroe. They are escorted by Magua, an Indian who knows a sure way
to go, but Cora doesn’t trust him.
For the way they meet a man, David Gamut, and Heyward allows him to
accompany them to Fort Edward.
But when they think that are safe in this path they meet suddenly three
Indians in the river. They are Chingachgook, Uncas his son, the last Mohican, and
Hawk-Eye a white man but accepted by the Indians.
Magua belongs to an enemy tribe of the Mohicans and immediately
